Enfield 1sts suffered a narrow 12-11 defeat away to Sutton & Cheam 2nds as their London League Division Two campaign came to a close on Thursday night.

The result moves Enfield level on points with league leaders Watford and one point ahead of Reading, but both those teams have two games in hand.

Enfield finish the summer season on 27 points after scoring a mammoth 157 goals from seven wins, one draw and four defeats.

Great Britain junior Charlie Briers top scored for Enfield with 41 goals, while Richard Waller was the second most prolific with 28.
